About Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST)

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) is a prestigious national-level entrance examination conducted annually by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The test is the sole gateway for admission into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) - fully residential, co-educational schools that provide quality education from Class VI to XII completely free of cost, including board, lodging, uniforms, and textbooks.

With over 660 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across India (at least one in every district), the JNVST aims to identify and nurture talented students predominantly from rural backgrounds, giving them opportunities at par with the best residential schools in the country.
